PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT

An accomplished leader with a passion for customer experience and continuous improvement, I focus on uniting all voices in the customer journey by understanding all perspectives, designing practical processes that meet customer needs and drive business growth. I have a long history working in the Australian university sector and have worked in the Arts, Hospitality and Health industries where the majority of my roles have involved people leadership and management, continuous service improvement, learning and development and succession planning. With strengths in listening, connecting, collaboration, and innovation I envision the next phase of my career in the learning, development and leadership space. I have discovered a love for coaching and training people to grow to be to best version of what they want to be. I am excited about embarking on this journey.

LEARNING PROFILE

With a creative background in performing arts, my learning journey began with a Bachelor of Music at Monash University, where I graduated with honours. I was fortunate to be offered many opportunities while studying, leading to a double major in vocal performance and music history and a double minor in theatre studies and group performance. I took on leadership roles within the faculty choirs and often mentored new students into the faculty.

I worked full time in the Arts and University sectors for a period of 12 years. I took every opportunity to further develop my skills in professional development courses offered through my employers. These covered a wide range of skills including software skills, TEQSA and ESOS compliance, management and leadership skills, positive leadership, agile project management, change management, process mapping and business analysis.

In 2012, I decided to undertake a Master of International Hotel Management with the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, to allow me to pursue a childhood dream of working for the Walt Disney Company - a dream that I achieved in 2016.

In 2020, the pandemic forced me to re-evaluate my skills and the value I bring to the workplace and the wider community. I undertook an Executive Coaching Certificate with Coaching Australia in 2021, and I became a Jack Canfield Success Principles Certified Trainer in 2023.
